Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer

Location: UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking project progress, identifying delays, and ensuring timely project delivery. The candidate should possess strong expertise in Primavera P6 and project controls within construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, MEP, or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Prepare baseline schedules, resource-loaded schedules, and recovery plans.

  • Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance against approved baselines.

  • Identify critical activities, delays, risks, and potential bottlenecks affecting project timelines.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.

  • Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate schedule slippages.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and assess compliance with project requirements.

  • Support project budgeting, forecasting, manpower planning, and resource allocation.

  • Participate in project review meetings and provide planning and scheduling insights.

  • Monitor project productivity and prepare earned value analysis (EVA) reports where applicable.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements.

  • Assist in claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) analysis, and delay impact assessments.


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 10–15 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, with significant experience in large-scale projects.

  • Experience in project controls, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project lifecycles, and resource planning.

  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), and delay analysis.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
