Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones, budget, and resource allocation.
• Review project scope, contract documents, and drawings to identify planning and scheduling requirements.
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules in coordination with the project team.
• Track progress and performance against the approved schedule; highlight slippages and critical path delays.
• Conduct delay analysis and propose mitigation strategies to recover lost time.
• Prepare periodic progress reports (weekly/monthly) covering planned vs. actual progress, key milestones, manpower histograms, S-curves, and cash flow.
• Coordinate with site teams, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to collect data for accurate progress monitoring.
• Forecast project completion dates and resource requirements based on current performance trends.
• Participate in project meetings, providing planning input and advising management on risks and recovery actions.
• Support claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions with detailed delay analysis and supporting documentation.
• Ensure all planning deliverables comply with contractual and company requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in planning & scheduling within major Building Construction / High-Rise / Mall / Infrastructure projects (Tier-1 Contractor experience preferred).
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource planning.
• Experience with EOT, delay analysis (as-planned vs. as-built), and forensic planning.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
