Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Abdulla Al Arif Holding LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities across assigned projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in project controls, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project

  • Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), baseline schedules, and resource-loaded programs

  • Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports

  • Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions to meet project milestones

  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to align schedules

  • Prepare look-ahead schedules and cash flow forecasts

  • Conduct delay analysis and support claims or extensions of time (EOT) when required

  • Review subcontractor schedules and integrate them into the master program

  • Participate in project meetings and provide planning-related input

  • Ensure planning activities comply with company standards and contract requirements

  • Support tender planning and pre-contract scheduling when required

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in project planning, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects

  • Proven experience as a Senior Planning Engineer in the UAE or GCC is preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory); MS Project knowledge is an advantage

  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project controls

  • Experience in delay analysis, claims support, and reporting Professional certifications (PMP, PSP, or equivalent) are an advantage
