Job Description

The Senior Planning & Monitoring Engineer plays a vital role in managing and overseeing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in budget. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong leadership and analytical skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and track project progress. The Senior Planning & Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for creating comprehensive project plans that outline scope, resources, timelines, and budgetary needs. They will act as the main point of reference for all project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and mitigating any potential risks. This role requires an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to change swiftly while maintaining high-quality standards. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and relevant technology to effectively guide their team through complex projects.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with initial plans.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the team.
  • Lead project team meetings, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and optimize workflows.
  • Facilitate communication among project team members to enhance collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and project staff.
  • Continuously evaluate processes and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between the engineering team and other departments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing complex engineering projects.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or a similar credential is preferred.
