Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Manage supplier relationships through regular evaluations, negotiations, and performance reviews to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute procurement projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, mitigating risks and safeguarding the organization’s interests.
- Prepare and manage the procurement budget, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities and reliability.
- Implement procurement technology solutions to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve data management.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare and present procurement reports and metrics to senior management, providing insights that drive strategic decisions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations, demonstrating tangible cost savings and quality improvements.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with a strong understanding of e-procurement systems and data analytics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead procurement initiatives with a strategic mindset.
- Cultural awareness and adaptability, with proficiency in multiple languages considered an asset, particularly in global supply chains.
