Role Summary/Purpose:
Owns the strategy to ensure technical support is provided to GE Aviation Customers in region.Through a strong technical relationship with customer engineering leadership teams, act as the primary escalation point on technical issues in region.Responsible for enhancing services technology, integrating customer data, capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance & safety. Supports a team of experienced Field Service Engineers delivering best in class service.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support of the Field Service Engineering Team at Regional level, including workforce planning, training and career development.Ownership of regional metrics relative to operational events, event reporting data quality, remote diagnostics and analytics implementation, fleet management and stability, proactive maintenance implementation and engine removal forecasting.Manage assigned annual budget in line with Customer & Product Support financial targets.Help implement innovative on-wing technologies by getting Customer buy-in and deployment.Provides big picture viewpoint to Field Service Engineers on regional technical issues, connects the dots between Field Service Engineers, regional Engineering resources and the Factory.


Administration

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 additional years ofexperience in similar Customer technical support role and people management.Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong issue resolution and analytical skills
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated ability to lead people / programs / projects.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.Demonstrated Emotional Intelligence abilities.Ability to travel 30% of the time within Middle East and Africa Region.Strong oral and written communication skills.
