Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and client requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, managing communication between engineering, design, and construction to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential project delays or budget overruns.
  • Prepare and present detailed project proposals, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, to stakeholders and clients.
  • Utilize advanced project management tools and software to monitor progress, track performance metrics, and report updates to senior management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting quality assurance checks throughout project lifecycles.
  • Manage procurement processes, negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials.
  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions and technical discussions to address project challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Analyze project performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements for future project execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) from a recognized institution; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in project engineering, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, demonstrating resilience in the face of project changes and challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on project performance.
  • Proficient in risk management and problem-solving methodologies, equipped to handle project challenges decisively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong technical skills in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage, especially for international projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and navigating complex project environments in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable, showcasing expertise and commitment to the field.
