Roles & Responsibilities
About the Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will report to the Project Director and take full ownership of planning, implementing, and delivering a large-scale cultural event in a desert destination. Your remit includes production, build-up/tear-down, operations, licensing, government approvals, vendor management, and financial oversight ensuring smooth, compliant delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
What You ll Do
Lead the entire project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure.
Convert strategic scope into operational plans with defined timelines, resource allocations, and critical dependencies.
Manage multidisciplinary workstreams: production, operations, build-up/tear-down, HSE, security, licensing, procurement, and vendor coordination.
Oversee development and timely delivery of key documentation: master plans, event layouts, licensing, and compliance materials.
Liaise closely with government authorities to secure timely approvals and ensure alignment across regulatory requirements.
Proactively monitor critical path activities, adapting plans as needed.
Execute site handover at least 10 days before launch, and ensure complete teardown within 30 days post-event.
Lead risk assessment, mitigation planning, and contingency response.
Meet client benchmarks: attendance, visitor satisfaction, and commercial targets
About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
8+ years in large-scale event or festival project management
Proven leadership across multidisciplinary teams and operational flows
Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk in complex environments
Strong stakeholder engagement skills especially with government entities
Skilled in documentation workflows, compliance submissions, and P&L oversight
Excellent communication, negotiation, and facilitation capabilities
Desirable Attributes
Experience delivering remote destination or desert based events
Familiarity with event regulations and licensing processes
Adaptability to hybrid remote/onsite working structures
