Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • As a QA QC Engineer, you will support the Quality Manager to secure and deliver project IMS objectives by establishing and monitoring project quality management systems. You will be responsible for training project staff on IMS, inspecting as required by the client, and ensuring all actions comply with safety, quality, and environmental guidelines. Continuous improvement and adherence to organizational policies are key elements for this role.


What You Will Do:

General


  • Familiarise with all project quality assurance requirements.

  • Assist Project Manager/Director with the implementation of the Project Management Plan.

  • Develop and implement inspection and test plans, check sheets, and method statements with the project team.

  • Verify and maintain all materials test data.

  • Plan inspection schedules and implementations.

  • Train project staff on Project Management Plan, inspection and test plan, and method statement.

  • Assist in auditing projects.

  • Prepare the Project Management Plan for respective projects.

  • Induct project staff on Project Management Plan, inspections, test plans, and method statements.


Safety, Quality & Environment


  • Ensure all relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls are adhered to.

  • Guarantee the safety, quality of services, and environmental compliance within AFC.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities in processes and practices, considering benefits to Al Futtaim and its employees.


Other Tasks


  • Complete any other reasonable work/task requests allocated by the Line Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of project management planning and implementation.

  • Deep knowledge of a complex functional or business area.

  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen.

  • Ability to train and motivate project staff effectively.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

  • Membership in a Professional Body with a minimum intermediate level qualification.

  • Five years of work experience in a QA Function.

  • A track record of success in supporting major contracts, business units, or regions.
