Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of cost estimates and budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments for projects, identifying potential cost implications and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the procurement process, evaluating supplier bids and negotiating contracts to achieve favorable terms for the organization.
  • Manage project cash flow through rigorous financial forecasting and reporting, ensuring timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to track project progress and adjust budgets and resources as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, conducting audits and inspections to maintain quality control.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Mentor junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and enhance team performance.
  • Utilize advanced software for quantity take-offs and cost estimation, ensuring efficient and accurate project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, fostering trust and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, with a strong academic track record.
  • Professional certification such as MRICS or equivalent, demonstrating commitment to industry standards and best practices.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills preferred for international project collaboration.
  • Experience in both public and private sector projects, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and cost drivers.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions under pressure.
