Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (Water Transmission) with a strong background in infrastructure and water pipeline/water transmission line projects within the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, contract administration, and commercial management for major infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee pre- and post-contract quantity surveying functions including cost estimation, tender evaluation, and contract administration.
Prepare BOQs, cost plans, and detailed quantity take-offs for water transmission pipelines and related infrastructure.
Manage interim payment applications, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients on contractual and commercial matters.
Ensure compliance with project budgets, timelines, and applicable contract conditions.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations, procurement packages, and assist in tender negotiations.
Provide commercial support to the project team, advising on risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
Monitor project cash flow forecasts and cost-to-completion reports.
Prepare and defend claims, EOTs, and contractual disputes when necessary.
Maintain strong documentation and audit trails in line with company policies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in infrastructure and water pipeline/transmission line projects.
Proven track record in managing large-scale utility or pipeline projects in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other relevant contract forms.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under pressure.
Preferred Attributes
TAQA approved experience in water transmission pipe works.
Experience with government and semi-government clients in UAE & exposure to large-scale infrastructure / utility EPC projects
UAE Driving License preferred
