Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the quantity surveying and cost estimation process for projects, ensuring accuracy in quantities and material costs.
- Review and validate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overheads, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather accurate data for estimation.
- Oversee and mentor junior quantity surveyors, ensuring high standards of accuracy and timely delivery.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and assist the Estimation Manager in presenting estimates to senior management and clients.
- Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cost estimation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in large-scale construction or façade projects.
- Strong proficiency in quantity surveying and estimation software.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve cost accuracy and variance control within project budgets.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience guiding junior surveyors.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and deliver results under tight deadlines.
