Position Overview
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Road Design Engineer to provide strategic and technical guidance for the design and execution of major road infrastructure projects in Dubai. This role is critical in ensuring alignment with RTA s vision and global best practices in transportation engineering.

What You ll Do

* Facilitate management reviews on performance and progress towards design objectives and targets.
* Advise on strategic objectives and key performance indicators for design activities and projects, ensuring compliance with RTA standards and regulations.
* Guide the selection of consultants and partners for strategic tenders related to road design.
* Provide input on the annual projects budget, monitor financial execution, and recommend adjustments during project implementation.
* Conduct benchmarking studies to incorporate global best practices in highway services and infrastructure technologies.
* Lead technical and specialized training for Design Section staff to enhance their capabilities.
* Deliver strategic recommendations to support the planning and execution of critical transportation projects.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering with 8+ years experience, Master s with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in road design and related fields.
* Strong knowledge of design standards, highway services, and infrastructure technologies.
* Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects in compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to provide technical leadership and conduct specialized training.
