Senior Roads Engineer Jurong International

Deliver geometric road design packages for urban and rural projects from concept to IFC. Coordinate with drainage, utilities, structures, and traffic teams. Prepare submission packages to local authorities. As a requirement of this role Civil 3D proficiency and experience working in KSA are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop road and highway projects, ensuring compliance with local KSA and international standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions
• Utilize advanced engineering software to create detailed road and highway designs
• Implement sustainable and innovative road design
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and tender documents
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in road and highway engineering
• Prepare construction drawings and support engineers with quantity take-offs and BOQs.
• Support RGA/TGA submission
• Collaborate with engineers, BIM managers, GIS teams, and stakeholders for seamless data and model exchange.

Requirements

Technical experience & engineering knowledge in road design principles, including:

• Select/design & operating speeds, sight distances, stopping/decision checks.
• Produce horizontal & vertical alignments, profiles, superelevation (calc + application), typical sections, transitions.
• Experience with junction/roundabout geometry, lane balance, storage/tapers, median openings, and access management.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for road and civil infrastructure design with demonstrable skills to develop and maintain roadway and civil models in Autodesk Civil 3D (alignments, corridors, profiles, cross-sections, detailing.
• Knowledge of stormwater/road drainage principles.
• Knowledge of local and international standards and how to apply them to design outputs. (Example: SHC, AASHTO, BS/EN, etc)
• Experience with producing technical notes and design reports.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with signing/marking and roadside safety layouts.
• Familiarity with InfraWorks for conceptual and preliminary design.
• Stormwater design experience.
• Knowledge of AASHTO/SHC pavement design.
• Experience 8-10 years post-graduate
