Job Description:
Enable successful transition towards agile development methodology from a software testing perspective and achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile. Ensure that necessary Quality Control processes are followed and applied in the space of platform, data and Infra initiatives.
This test chapter will ensure that initiatives follow the Group IT governance processes along with:
Increased quality ofapplications
Improved balance of expertise between application and technology focusedstaff
Standardized use of tools
Reduced cost of testing due to elimination of overlappingeffort
Ensure software product released is sufficientlytested
Ensure applying the Functional and nonfunctionaltest.
Automate as much as can of the testingactivities.
Improved release management process on the non-productionenvironment.
Improved effectiveness of applicationsupport
Increased efficiency in test chapter leading to less testing time and thus increased productivity and improved user satisfaction.
2. Job Purpose (Why does the job exist? What is the unique contribution made by the job holder?)
The Senior Specialist Performance Testing Engineer reports to VP- Test chapter and is responsible for evaluates the strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement of performance and automation test and ensuring that we are following the best practice architecture design framework. He will ensure that necessary Quality Control processes have been followed in delivering the solutions in the space of Agile, platform, data and Infra initiatives.
Senior Specialist Performance Testing Engineer must have in depth knowledge of automation and performance Frame work, Design and development across various tools, automate as much of the testing effort and determining what should be automated and in what sequence in order to get the maximum return on investment. He should also have understanding of business requirements and ability to translate the testing scenarios to automated scripts.

Test and Deliver the test scripts for the performance according to business requirements.
Drive consistent standards and approaches throughout theteam.
Keep current with new technologies &techniques
Work with application to develop performance test strategy andplans
Design & implement Performancetest.
Analyze test results, configure analysis graphs and create testresults
Analyze root causes of issues and provide correctiveactions
Test Results Review andGuidance
Works collaboratively with cross functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design test scripts, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test performance solutions
Provide the solution, approach and effort estimation for performance testing on all bankingapplications

Desired Skills & Experience:
IT based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required.
• At least 10yrs experience in software testing.
• 5+ years Banking experience.
• Experience on leading and managing performance testing.
Technical/Functional:
• Strong understanding of Software life cycle. (development & testing)
• Strong understanding of the high level technical application architecture and design.
• Strong understanding to the technical application risks, security, compliance and Audit requirements.
• Have thorough experience in implementing full life cycle of a project.
• Knowledge and understanding of software testing principle , practice ,process , methods , Techniques and tools
• Should have worked in technologies like Java, Mobile, ATM, Big Data etc.
• Experience in Agile framework and continuous integration
• Strong knowledge in Java EMS, IBM MQ, TIBCO and JDBC
• Experience in Automated Testing Techniques using DevOps tools
e.g. Selenium / Cucumber / UFT (QTP)
• Solid experience in JMeter and Load runner.
• Strong in Script Creation, Execution and analysis
• Experience in Middle ware testing (MQ and Web services)
• Should worked on below protocol : HTTP/HTML, Ajax tru-client, Java ,JDBC, Mobile and web services
• Strong knowledge in analyzing Heap and Thread dump
• Strong knowledge in AWR report analysis and Should have knowledge in SQL developer
• knowledge in continuous integration to enable continuous deployment.
