Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and validate RCC and steel structural designs and calculations in compliance with ADM regulations and relevant international codes.
Lead and manage ADM structural submissions, coordinate responses to authority comments, and follow up through final approval.
Perform structural condition assessments of existing buildings and propose repair, strengthening, and retrofitting solutions in accordance with ADM requirements.
Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure strict compliance with ADM-approved drawings, specifications, and local regulations.
Review and approve contractor shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Coordinate closely with Architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure fully integrated and compliant design solutions.
Attend meetings with ADM, consultants, and contractors, providing technical clarifications and engineering support as required.
Monitor construction progress and prepare technical reports, site inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of consultancy experience in Abu Dhabi (mandatory).
Demonstrated expertise in RCC and steel structural design.
Hands-on experience with ADM structural approval systems, workflows, and procedures.
Strong background in site supervision, existing building assessment, and structural repair works.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including:
o STAAD Pro (Steel Buildings & Warehouses)
o ETABS & SAP (Concrete Building Design)
o SAFE (Slab Design)
o IDEA StatiCa (Connection Design)
o PROKON
o SP Column (Columns & Shear Walls)
Thorough knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi local codes, standards, and engineering practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous direct approval experience with ADM Building Permit and Structural Sections.
Experience in strengthening, retrofitting, and rehabilitation of existing structures.
Professional certification or chartered engineer status is a strong advantage.
