Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, review, and validation of structural design deliverables such as calculations, analysis reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop structural design concepts and perform detailed engineering for steel and concrete structures, including equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, and buildings.
- Ensure all designs comply with ADNOC specifications, local regulations, and international design codes (AISC, API, BS, Eurocode, etc).
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation) to ensure design consistency and integration.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g STAAD Pro, SACS, ETABS, or similar).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Support constructability reviews, design optimization, and value engineering exercises.
- Liaise with clients and participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 1215 years of experience in structural engineering within the oil and gas industry, specifically on onshore projects.
- Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering (Detailed Design) phases.
- Prior experience working on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of international structural design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, SACS, ETABS, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
