Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design review, and technical supervision of tunnel works within major infrastructure projects.
Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Provide expert guidance on tunneling methodologies, excavation techniques, ground support systems, waterproofing, ventilation, and tunnel safety systems.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, structural, MEP, and highway engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
Review contractor submissions, method statements, technical reports, shop drawings, and material approvals.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality audits to ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend effective solutions to avoid delays and mitigate risks.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise to support project decision-making.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in tunnel engineering within road, bridge, highway, or major civil infrastructure projects.
Strong experience working with engineering consultancies on large-scale tunnel projects.
Proven expertise in NATM, TBM, cut-and-cover, and related tunneling construction methodologies.
Thorough knowledge of international standards and tunnel safety regulations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
