SENIOR WORK PREPARATOR I – MECHANICAL Drydocks World

Responsible for Identification of the scope of work from specifications, work lists and on-board inspections, control of work preparation on assigned ship, working out and evelopment work processes and drawings for the assigned ship.

Day-to-day operations:

• Plan, take charge and distribute jobs to preparators and junior preparators.

• Coach and provide guidance to preparators and junior preparators on daily jobs.

• Identify mechanical work from Owner’s specifications, tenders and work lists.

• Describe all mechanical work onboard and workshop.

• Preparation of mechanical drawings and work processes.

• Produce job estimate and progress sheet.

• Prepare man-hours estimation for work processes.

• Raise materials requisitions.

• Arrange calibration of machinery and equipment.

• Liaison with external sub-contractors to ensure deliverables are achieved in time. .
