Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Prepare detailed cutting lists from approved joinery shop drawings

  2. Interpret architectural, interior, and joinery drawings accurately

  3. Break down drawings into panels, components, hardware, and finishes

  4. Calculate material quantities for MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, and boards

  5. Coordinate with production, CNC, and workshop teams to ensure clarity and accuracy

  6. Optimize cutting layouts to reduce material wastage

  7. Prepare material requisitions and support procurement as required

  8. Revise cutting lists based on design changes or site feedback

  9. Maintain proper documentation and version control

  10. Support cost control and production planning through accurate data

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Joinery Setter Out / Cutting List Engineer

  2. Strong knowledge of custom joinery and furniture manufacturing

  3. Excellent understanding of joinery drawings and detailing

  4. Experience with panel breakdowns, edging, hardware, and fittings

  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)

  6. Familiarity with Excel for calculations and lists

  7. Knowledge of CNC machining workflows is an advantage

  8. Good coordination skills with designers, engineers, and workshop teams
