Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Construct and erect formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precise dimensions and alignment according to blueprints and specifications.
- Install and dismantle shuttering systems, including panels, props, and bracing, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining structural integrity.
- Accurately measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials, utilizing hand and power tools with proficiency to create formwork components.
- Assemble formwork components on-site, ensuring tight joints and secure connections to prevent concrete leakage and maintain structural stability.
- Inspect and repair existing formwork, addressing any damage or defects to ensure continued functionality and prevent concrete imperfections.
- Apply form release agents to formwork surfaces to facilitate clean concrete removal and maintain the quality of the finished product.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as concrete finishers and engineers, to ensure seamless integration of formwork with other project elements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Prior experience working in the construction industry, particularly on residential or commercial projects, is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in shuttering carpentry, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
- No specific nationality preference, as long as the candidate possesses the required skills and work permits.
- Demonstrated physical abilities, including the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks.
