Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Site Auditor, you will focus on evaluating controls in project execution, financial controls, contract compliance, safety, and adherence to established standards. Also, you will provide independent and objective assurance to management by identifying risks, documenting findings, and making recommendations to enhance project performance and safeguard company assets. Frequent travel to various construction sites is a key requirement of this position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to audit large construction sites, contractor documentation, and safety compliance and quality assurance.
  • Review and Evaluate, Time Impact Programs and Extension of Time Claims.
  • Perform checks to ascertain adequacy & completeness of VOAF (Variation Order Approval Forms), RFC (Request for Change), and project monitoring systems.
  • Conducts site visits to review project documents related to invoices/payment certificates and project completion certificates.
  • Review progress reports and dashboards that highlight Progress Updates, KPIS, 2 Weeks Lookahead, and adequacy of cost-to-complete.
  • Monitor critical activities and manpower deployed on site based on the project schedule and advise about timely measures to be taken.
  • Assess compliance with engineering standards, design specifications, and construction quality requirements.
  • Review project management processes, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Identify technical and operational risks in design, engineering, or construction phases and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project directors, development teams, and other internal auditors to ensure alignment between technical and financial controls.
  • Assess the efficient utilization of company vehicles, monitor fuel consumption, evaluate generator-related expenditures, and costs (including petty cash) associated with unplanned activities at sites.


QUALIFICATION

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management or quantity Survey is a must.
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Quantity Auditor (CQA) are a strong asset.


EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of Hands-on experience auditing large construction sites, contractor documentation, safety compliance, and quality assurance or auditing. Previous experience as a quantity surveyor is considered advantageous.
  • Well-versed in managing VOAF (Variation Order Approval Forms), RFC (Request for Change), and project monitoring systems.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6), ERP systems, and auditing tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards in the UAE.


SKILLS

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with site personnel, contractors, and executives.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple site visits and projects simultaneously.


PREFERRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

  • Real Estate or Construction.
