Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Inspection
- Conduct daily inspections for structural and civil works related to building projects (foundations, columns, slabs, blockwork, plastering, concrete works, waterproofing, finishing, etc.).
- Ensure all executed works comply with approved architectural and structural drawings, method statements, and material specifications.
- Monitor workmanship quality and highlight deviations through site observations and NCRs when required.
- Check formwork, rebar installation, concrete casting activities, and curing processes for structural elements.
- Inspect internal and external building finishes and verify adherence to project standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports with photographic records.
- Maintain complete documentation for site inspections, approvals, and technical observations.
- Support the Resident Engineer in reviewing and commenting on ITPs, material submittals, and method statements.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve site issues and ensure timely execution.
- Attend site progress meetings and report on inspection findings, risks, and delays.
- Liaise with local authorities (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.) as needed for project compliance.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure that building works follow UAE Building Codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and relevant international standards.
- Ensure that safety requirements are implemented during construction activities.
- Verify materials delivered to site and ensure they meet project specifications before installation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering.
7 8 years of experience in building construction supervision within consultancy or engineering supervision firms.
Minimum 3 4 years of experience in Dubai on residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use building projects (mandatory).
Strong ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
Familiarity with DM, DCD, and relevant Dubai authority approvals and standards.
Experience in mid- to high-rise buildings.
Strong knowledge of concrete and finishing works.
Ability to handle multiple inspections and meet strict timelines.
