Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect the construction of roads, wet and dry utilities (water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, HV/LV cables, street lighting, telecom, and ITS works) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and ADQCC, DMT, TAQA, MCC, and other relevant standards in Abu Dhabi.

Monitor the Contractor s work for adherence to approved method statements, quality plans, and safety procedures.

Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as-built drawings for utilities works.

Witness and verify utility testing and commissioning activities, ensuring conformity to standards.

Identify and report non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented by the Contractor.

Coordinate with DMT, TAQA, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities to secure necessary NOCs, inspections, and approvals.

Liaise with Contractor s supervisory staff to review work sequences, schedules, and conflict resolution measures.

Monitor and report on Contractor s manpower, equipment, and resource allocation for utilities works.

Proactively identify potential conflicts in utility corridors and recommend mitigation measures.

Resolve site issues in coordination with the Resident Engineer and relevant authorities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in civil engineering with minimum 8 years of experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of utilities work.

A minimum of 2 years of proven experience managing supervision activities on large-scale infrastructure projects within Abu Dhabi.

Should be able to review and justify the material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project s Specifications.

Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.

Must be fluent in English written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.

Keep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the utility works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary final clearance.

Must be available in UAE.

Prior experience in coordinating with multiple authorities (TAQA, ADM, Etisalat, DU, MCC, etc.).
