Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a Site Erection Engineer with a strong steel fabrication and structural steel erection background to manage and supervise on-site erection activities in the UAE. The candidate must have hands-on experience in coordinating steel structure installation, site execution, and manpower management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and execute structural steel erection works at site as per approved drawings and method statements
  • Coordinate with fabrication yard, transport, and site teams for smooth material flow
  • Ensure erection works are carried out according to shop drawings, IFC drawings, and project specifications
  • Monitor site progress, productivity, and daily erection activities
  • Manage site manpower including foremen, supervisors, welders, and erectors
  • Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, alignments, bolt tightening, and welding checks
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety regulations
  • Identify site issues and resolve technical or execution challenges promptly
  • Coordinate with main contractor, consultant, and client representatives
  • Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and material requirement reports

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in structural steel erection (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of steel structures, erection sequences, and site execution
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and erection drawings
  • Familiar with cranes, lifting plans, and erection methodologies
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in steel fabrication companies or EPC projects
  • Knowledge of UAE construction practices and site coordination
  • Basic knowledge of planning, material tracking, and progress monitoring
