Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transformer Winder & Assembler to be a critical member of our production team.

This is a hands-on role focused on the complete physical construction of transformers, from core assembly and coil winding to the final finishing and testing.

The ideal candidate is a master craftsman who can independently and precisely execute the entire manufacturing workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Following engineering drawings, you will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing process:

  • Core Assembly: Cut, stack, and clamp CRGO steel laminations to form the transformer's bottom yoke and legs.

  • Coil Winding: Set up winding machinery and precisely wind Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) coils with copper or aluminum conductors, interleaving insulation and inserting cooling ducts.

  • Core & Coil Assembly: Mount the finished coils onto the core legs, complete the top yoke assembly ("yolking"), and securely clamp the entire unit.

  • Varnishing and Curing: Apply insulating varnish to the assembly and manage the curing process by baking it in an industrial oven to achieve a hard, protective finish.

  • Final Assembly: Fit precisely bent busbars, make secure terminal connections, mount the active part into its enclosure, and affix all panels and the final nameplate.

  • Testing & Quality Control: Assist with a full range of final tests, including winding resistance, voltage ratio, and high voltage tests, to ensure the product meets all quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven, hands-on experience in the complete manufacturing workflow of varnished dry-type transformers.

  • Expertise in coil winding, using both aluminum and copper conductors (foil and wire).

  • High skill level in brazing, soldering, and making secure terminal connections.

  • Demonstrated ability in bending and forming both conductors and busbars.

  • Ability to read and precisely follow engineering drawings and schematics.

  • A strong commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills (Added Benefits):

  • Knowledge of the Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) process is a significant plus.

  • Experience with oil-filled transformers.

  • Familiarity with Switchgear and electrical panel assembly
