Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of fuel system architecture including tanks, valves, pumps, lines, sensors, and inerting systems
- Design systems aligned with mission endurance, center of gravity, safety, and platform constraints
- Serve as the design authority for all fuel system subsystems across ADASI platforms
Requirements & Systems Engineering
- Define system/component-level fuel system requirements and ensure full traceability
- Oversee creation of interface control documents (ICDs), FMEAs, hazard analyses, and safety documentation
- Translate operational needs into technical specifications and verification protocols
Integration & Testing
- Lead integration efforts with propulsion, avionics, structures, and GSE interfaces
- Conduct and oversee functional and environmental testing: flow validation, leak testing, endurance trials, and fault analysis
- Ensure adherence to standards including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and GCAA/UAE MoD requirements
Innovation & Strategic Planning
- Evaluate new fuel technologies, composite integration, and hybrid system compatibility
- Drive optimization in weight, volume, performance, and safety margin across programs
- Contribute to cross-platform initiatives on sustainable and advanced fuel strategies
Mentoring & Knowledge Transfer
- Provide hands-on mentorship to design engineers and systems analysts
- Develop internal design guides, knowledge repositories, and standardization initiatives
- Represent ADASI in technical forums, industry working groups, and customer engagements
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor s in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (REQUIRED)
- Master s in Fuel Systems, Aircraft Integration, or Propulsion Systems (PREFERRED)
Experience
- 10+ years in aerospace fuel system design and integration
- At least 4 years in a lead or SME role within UAVs, military aircraft, or rotary-wing platforms
- Proven experience with composite tanks, pressurization, inerting, and advanced gauging systems
Technical Tools
- CAD software (CATIA, Siemens NX)
- Modeling and simulation: MATLAB/Simulink, Simcenter Amesim
- Deep knowledge of gravity-fed and pressurized systems, fuel flow hardware, and environmental control
- Familiarity with compliance standards: MIL-STD-810, DO-160, AS9100, SAE ARPs
