Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.

Prepare endoscopy rooms and equipment according to infection control and hospital protocols.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Administer medications, sedation, and monitor vital signs as required.

Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and reports.

Maintain proper handling, cleaning, and storage of endoscopy equipment.

Provide patient education and discharge instructions.

Participate in quality improvement and infection control activities within the department.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

Valid nursing license/registration with [insert relevant authority e.g., DOH, DHA, MOH].

Minimum of 2 years experience in an endoscopy or related clinical setting.

Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards in endoscopy.

BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Previous experience in a hospital or tertiary care facility.

Certification or training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Nursing.

Bilingual skills (Arabic and English) are an advantage.
