Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Analyze ultrasound images and provide radiologists with preliminary findings.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure it is operating optimally and safely.
Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret diagnostic results.
Accurately document patient history, procedures, and clinical information for records.
Ensure adherence to safety guidelines to protect patients and staff during procedures.
Review ultrasound images for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and diagnostic procedures.
Provide compassionate care and support to patients throughout the ultrasound process.
Work efficiently to accommodate a high volume of patients while ensuring quality.
Participate in training and workshops to continually enhance sonography skills.
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
Minimum of two years of experience as a clinical sonographer preferred.
Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and interpretation of sonographic images.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare staff.
Knowledge of patient privacy laws and dedication to maintaining confidentiality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
