We are looking for Sous Chef for UAE


Job Summary:

As a Sous Chef your Primary responsibility is complete Kitchen Administration and successful Back House Operations. Responsible to set technical guidelines and procedures for staff in achieving operational and technical excellence. You will be overseeing roaster along with the Management in making sure of a healthy and safe kitchen working practices. Technical Supervisor to all back-house employee issues. Involved with the Management in making sure the Menu is kept in line with Management Vision & Guidelines and also work towards optimizing the throughput of the Menu to achieve Best results & Maximize revenue. Responsible in implementing the company SOP (standard Operating Procedure) among all the employees in every respect. Responsible in making sure the Back-House Operations are in accordance with utmost standards as per Management Guidelines and Municipality Regulations.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Being the owner of kitchen operations, it is utmost important that you be equipped with interpersonal skills to sort any issue arising pertaining to successful operation of Kitchen. Management will involve only at unavoidable circumstances.
• Establish a strict working schedule and organize work in the kitchen in accordance with the Management visions and policies.
• Identify any factor interfering with the kitchen’s smooth operations and bring it to the highlight of the Management immediately and suggest amendments that can mitigate the problem.
• Identify specific talents in staff and encourage them in bringing positive and healthy work culture.
• Motivate staff in positive way with regards to benefits of our Management SOP and Guidelines.
• Train Staff as per the Management Guidelines & Policies regarding technical and operational procedures.
• Evaluate staff periodically and identify any area of improvement and maintain a report to Management at agreed intervals.
• Closely work with Management in achieving better Operational and Technical Standards continually.
• Always make sure that the Back-House staff are not interacting with the customers or suppliers.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

• Proficient in communicating ideas across to kitchen staff and getting job done
• Be part of both technical and administration operations.
• 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef
• Understanding of Indian cooking methods and spice proportions
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff Management
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant Management software, POS)
• BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
