The Spa Receptionist plays a pivotal role in maintaining the seamless flow of operations by ensuring all guests receive an unparalleled experience from the moment they arrive until they depart. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly and inviting demeanor, and a strong ability to multitask. You will be the first and last point of contact for guests and will need to create a warm and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include managing bookings, handling guest inquiries, and facilitating the smooth running of the front-of-house operations. You should embody the spa's brand values, promote its services, and ensure customer satisfaction is consistently achieved. As part of a close-knit team, your commitment to professionalism, reliability, and exceptional service will be paramount.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed and valued immediately.
- Manage spa appointment bookings to ensure maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Provide guests with detailed information about spa services and facility offerings.
- Answer telephone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process transactions accurately, including payments, gift certificates, and promotional offers.
- Coordinate with spa therapists and other staff to ensure timely service delivery to clients.
- Maintain clean and organized reception and waiting areas at all times.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating as necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels of retail products and coordinate replenishment with suppliers.
- Assist in marketing efforts by promoting special packages and upselling services.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reception desk organization.
- Ensure a seamless check-out experience and express appreciation for guests' visits.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a spa or hospitality setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for guest interactions.
- Proficiency with computer systems and appointment booking software platforms.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address issues with a guest-first attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training is desirable.
