Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Interventional Cardiologist to join a leading private hospital in Sharjah. This opportunity is ideal for Arabic-speaking cardiologists with strong expertise in interventional cardiology, invasive cardiac procedures, and acute cardiovascular care within high-volume hospital environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering advanced cardiac services, supporting catheterization laboratory activity, and contributing to the continued expansion of cardiovascular services within the hospital.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage:
    • Coronary artery disease
    • Acute coronary syndromes
    • Heart failure and complex cardiovascular conditions
    • Hypertension and arrhythmias
  • Perform:
    • Coronary angiography
    • Angioplasty and stenting procedures
    • Cardiac catheterization procedures
    • Emergency interventional cardiac procedures where required
  • Conduct:
    • ECG and echocardiography interpretation
    • Stress testing and non-invasive cardiac diagnostics
  • Participate in:
    • Acute cardiac emergency coverage
    • Multidisciplinary cardiovascular case discussions and management

Interventional Cardiology Focus Strong preference will be given to candidates with expertise in:

  • High-volume interventional cardiology procedures
  • Primary PCI and acute coronary intervention
  • Complex coronary interventions
  • Advanced invasive cardiac diagnostics
  • Structural heart exposure (where applicable)

Service Structure

  • Modern hospital-based cardiology department
  • Access to:
    • Cardiac catheterization laboratory
    • Advanced cardiac imaging and diagnostic services
    • Multidisciplinary cardiac and ICU support teams
  • Combination of inpatient, outpatient, and procedural responsibilities

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support development and expansion of interventional cardiology services
  • Maintain accurate procedural documentation and reporting
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and governance initiatives
  • Mentor junior physicians and contribute to CME activities where applicable

Estimated Salary

  • AED 60,000 100,000+ per month (Consultant level)
(All-inclusive, depending on experience, procedural volume, subspecialty expertise, and existing patient base)

Candidate Requirements

  • Specialist or Consultant qualification in Cardiology
  • Strong Interventional Cardiology experience essential
  • Arabic-speaking candidates preferred
  • DHA / MOH / DOH License or Eligibility highly advantageous
  • Existing UAE or GCC experience beneficial
  • Strong communication and patient management skills
