Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
- Provide preventative care, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling, to promote patient wellness and proactively address health risks.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, X-rays, and EKGs, to accurately assess patient conditions and guide treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, referrals to specialists, and patient education to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and therapists, to coordinate comprehensive and integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines, ensuring data privacy and confidentiality.
- Stay current on medical advancements and best practices through continuing medical education, conferences, and literature reviews to provide cutting-edge care.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies, fostering patient empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare practice, enhancing patient experience.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Hold board certification or be board-eligible in Family Medicine, confirming expertise and commitment to the field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in common medical procedures, exhibiting practical skills and hands-on abilities.
- Possess a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in medical science.
- Possess a valid medical license preferably DOH , confirming legal authorization to practice medicine.
- Display a strong understanding of medical ethics and patient confidentiality, ensuring responsible and ethical practice.
