Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations, to diagnose gastrointestinal disorders accurately.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and lab results, to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons and nutritionists, to provide holistic care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventative strategies, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical research and trials, contributing to advancements in gastroenterology and improving patient care protocols.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in gastroenterology through continuous education and professional development opportunities.
  • Manage chronic gastrointestinal conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome with a focus on long-term health and quality of life.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior medical staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence in the department.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care and clinical practice.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • DM or DrNB degree in Gastroenterology, preferably with DHA eligibility.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a clinical gastroenterology setting, demonstrating advanced diagnostic and procedural skills.
  • Willing to work in OPD set up for 8 hours for 6 days. Hospital attachment can be given for interventions.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Hindi; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for patient interaction.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practice.
