Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose complex internal medicine conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with multifaceted health issues, promoting integrated healthcare solutions.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, to guide clinical decision-making.
- Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatment options, and preventive care strategies to enhance health literacy.
- Manage chronic illnesses and complex comorbidities, focusing on improving quality of life and functional outcomes.
- Participate in clinical teaching and mentoring of medical students and residents, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for patient documentation.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient safety and care standards within the institution.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree, with a specialization in internal medicine from an accredited institution, preferably with HAAD /DOH.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in internal medicine, showcasing expertise in diagnosing and treating complex conditions.
- Willing to work in an OPD based set up with 8 hours shift for 6 days, Flexibility required to work in straight/split duties as per unit need.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required; additional language proficiency is a plus to cater to diverse patient populations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex clinical data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology to enhance patient care efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments, maintaining composure and delivering quality care under stress.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a commitment to mentoring junior staff and medical students.
