Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Gynecology & Obstetrics Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive care related to women’s reproductive health, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynecological services. The role ensures safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care in line with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including normal and assisted deliveries.
- Diagnose and manage gynecological conditions and reproductive health issues.
- Perform minor and major OB-GYN procedures as per granted clinical privileges.
- Manage obstetric emergencies and high-risk pregnancies in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and on-call duties as assigned.
- Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and preventive women’s health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with patient safety and quality standards.
- Adhere to hospital policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates proficiency in performing a wide range of gynecological procedures, including minimally invasive surgeries.
- Experience working within a hospital or clinic setting, showcasing familiarity with hospital protocols and patient care.
- MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology or equivalent.
- Valid medical license/eligibility from relevant health authority (e.g., DHA/DOH/MOH – UAE).
- Minimum 6-8 years of post-qualification experience preferred.
- Strong surgical, clinical, and communication skills.
