Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric care, managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, ensuring optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
  • Perform gynecological surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures, to address a wide range of women's health issues.
  • Conduct thorough patient consultations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans, fostering patient-centered care.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with nurses, midwives, and other specialists for holistic patient management.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to government regulations and ethical standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents, contributing to the development of the next generation of obstetricians and gynecologists.
  • Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient safety and care.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuous professional development and research.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing immediate medical care and making critical decisions under pressure.
  • Engage in public health initiatives, promoting women's health awareness and preventative care within the community.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, preferably within a government healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in performing a wide range of gynecological surgeries and obstetric procedures.
  • Exhibits strong clinical acumen, diagnostic skills, and the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior doctors and residents.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software.
