Job Purpose To provide high‑quality, specialist‑level rheumatology care in line with evidence‑based clinical standards, supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management of musculoskeletal, autoimmune, and inflammatory conditions. The role delivers safe, ethical, and patient‑centred care within a busy outpatient (OPD) clinic environment in Al Karama, Dubai. Role Overview This is an outpatient‑based (OPD) rheumatology role based at our HealthHub Clinic in Al Karama, Dubai. The position is well suited to a Specialist Rheumatologist with strong outpatient experience who is comfortable managing chronic disease pathways, long‑term follow‑up, and high patient volumes in a community clinic setting. Candidates already familiar with the Al Karama catchment area or patient demographic will be well positioned, though this is not a mandatory requirement. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive specialist rheumatology care in line with best‑practice clinical guidelines and Al‑Futtaim Health Medical Staff Bylaws Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, and chronic pain conditions Conduct detailed outpatient consultations and manage long‑term treatment plans Prescribe and monitor pharmacological therapies, including DMARDs and biologics, in line with clinical protocols Perform joint examinations and outpatient procedures where applicable (e.g. joint injections) Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and imaging investigations Counsel patients on diagnosis, treatment options, medication use, and lifestyle modification Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records Collaborate with physiotherapy, orthopaedics, primary care physicians, and other specialists to optimise patient outcomes Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental development activities Engage in continuing medical education and remain current with advances in rheumatology practice
