Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sourcing strategy for assigned categories to optimize cost, quality, service, and risk.
  • Ensure suppliers and contracts deliver value for money, minimise risk, and support service and social objectives.
  • Lead sourcing processes including RFQs, evaluations, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract enablement.
  • Collaborate with Legal and requesting departments to negotiate commercial terms, contract conditions, and supplier agreements.
  • Work with Category Manager and Head of Sourcing to define category strategy and set performance objectives.
  • Engage senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Develop annual category sourcing plans using spend analysis, contract reviews, demand forecasts, and market benchmarks.
  • Lead category strategy execution including demand management, specification review, grouping of goods/services, and catalogue management.
  • Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with FAB corporate strategy and deliver quantifiable financial results.
  • Maintain updated market intelligence and adjust category strategies to mitigate emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Promote best practices in sourcing through case studies, training workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Act as sourcing representative on cross-functional initiatives to support supplier engagement strategies.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Monitor and report strategic savings monthly to the Head of Sourcing.
  • Continuously identify new cost-saving or efficiency opportunities within the category.
  • Support organisational productivity programs through benchmarking, market analysis, and best practice sharing.
  • Contribute to developing Sourcing & Vendor Management (SVM) as a value-driven function.

Desired Candidate Profile

Zero to one year of demonstrable sourcing category management experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging senior-level stakeholders.

Ability to align sourcing decisions with business strategy and demonstrate SVM value.

Skilled in handling cross-functional projects in a matrix environment.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex supplier relationships.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
