Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs.
Develop and implement innovative therapy techniques that engage patients and promote effective communication skills.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to create cohesive treatment strategies.
Provide family education and support, empowering caregivers with tools and strategies to reinforce communication skills at home.
Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting therapeutic approaches based on ongoing evaluations.
Utilize advanced technology and software to enhance therapy sessions and track patient outcomes effectively.
Stay updated on the latest research and practices in speech therapy, integrating evidence-based techniques into your work.
Advocate for patients' needs, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and services for their communication challenges.
Prepare and present training workshops for staff and community members on the importance of speech therapy and communication disorders.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all patients.
Desired Candidate Profile
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, ensuring a strong theoretical foundation.
DHA licence or DHA eligibility
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in diverse settings, demonstrating adaptability and a breadth of knowledge.
Bilingual candidates preferred, with proficiency in both English and another language to better serve diverse populations.
Strong clinical assessment skills, utilizing standardized tests and observational methods for accurate diagnosis.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trusting relationships with patients and families.
Proficiency in using digital tools and software for therapy documentation and teletherapy sessions.
Compassionate and patient-focused mindset, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards individuals with communication challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing positively to group dynamics and patient care.
Physical ability to engage in dynamic therapy sessions, including mobility and the use of adaptive equipment as needed.
