Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of stormwater drainage networks, culverts, outfalls, channels, and retention/detention systems.
• Perform hydraulic design and modeling using tools such as Infoworks ICM, StormCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or equivalent.
• Prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed design drawings, calculations, and design reports.
• Develop drainage master plans for road and infrastructure projects.
• Assess existing drainage infrastructure and propose upgrade/improvement strategies.

2. Authority Coordination

• Prepare submissions and obtain approvals from Abu Dhabi authorities (ADM, ADSSC, DMT, EAD, etc.).
• Ensure all designs comply with local drainage regulations, design manuals, and environmental requirements.

3. Project Management & Coordination

• Coordinate drainage design with other engineering disciplines (roads, utilities, landscape, structural).
• Review contractor/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide technical support during construction.
• Prepare scope of work, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation for drainage elements.
• Ensure design delivery meets deadlines, quality standards, and project objectives.

4. Quality Assurance

• Conduct thorough QA/QC reviews of drainage models, calculations, and drawings.
• Ensure adherence to project BIM/CAD standards where applicable.
• Implement sustainable and resilient design principles, such as flood protection and climate adaptation measures.

5. Leadership & Mentoring

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and draftsmen.
• Support the Design Manager in workload planning and team coordination.
