Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Unearth exclusive stories: Cultivate and maintain a network of sources within the entertainment and cultural spheres to break compelling news.
  • Craft narratives that resonate: Develop and write engaging, high-quality articles, features, and reviews that capture the essence of culture and entertainment.
  • Master the interview: Conduct insightful interviews with high-profile personalities, artists, and industry leaders to extract unique perspectives.
  • Represent the brand: Present the publication or platform in a professional and engaging manner at industry events and public appearances.
  • Drive audience engagement: Utilize data and analytics to understand audience preferences and tailor content accordingly.
  • Adapt to evolving media landscape: Stay informed on new technologies and platforms, adjusting content to reach wider audiences.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with editors, photographers, and other team members to produce multimedia content.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Possess at least 7 years of proven experience as a journalist, with a focus on culture and entertainment.
  • Possess a wide network of contacts within the entertainment and cultural industries.
  • Exhibit the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong portfolio showcasing original reporting, features, and reviews.
  • Exhibit fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus.
