Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Graphic Designer Visual Communication to join our team! In this role, you will support the Permitting Office by designing clear, professional, and engaging visual materials that communicate processes, information, and messages to both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description:

  • Design visual communication materials to support permitting processes and stakeholder engagement, including:

    • Infographics, process flows, and diagrams.
    • Presentations, reports, and templates.
    • Awareness, guidance, and information materials.
  • Translate permitting workflows, procedures, and technical content into clear, easy-to-understand visual formats.
  • Support internal communication and awareness initiatives through design-led communication outputs.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and visual clarity across all design deliverables in line with corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather content, clarify messages, and ensure effective communication outcomes.
  • Apply strong layout, typography, and information design principles to enhance readability and comprehension.
  • Manage multiple design tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

What Required Skills You ll Bring:

  • Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or a certificate from an accredited design/graphics program (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design or visual communication.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, with experience designing clear, professional, and well-structured presentations.
  • Experience using Figma or similar collaborative design tools.
  • Strong understanding of visual communication principles, layout, typography, and information design.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex or technical information visually and clearly.

What Desired Skills You ll Bring:

  • Experience designing process diagrams, workflows, or instructional materials.
  • Background supporting corporate, government, or technical teams with communication materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain visual consistency across multiple outputs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with non-design stakeholders and translate content into effective visuals.
  • Experience working in structured, multi-stakeholder environments.
