Provide legal advise & support on the day to day operations in terms of the company registry (including but not limited to Company Incorporation, Formation, Registration, Changes, De-registration, etc. on the different types of businesses
Ensure compliances on all statutory books and documents received pertaining to the various regulations (e.g. Private Companies Regulations, Licensing Regulations and Decisions, Employment Regulations and Visa Policy, Broadcasting and Publishing Regulations, and decisions concerning licensing categories, hotel owners and operators).
Provide operational and practical input to support the development of the Authority’s regulatory standards, evaluate inconsistencies and ambiguities, and provide clarifications on queries, policies and processes to businesses/departments with a goal of “ease doing business”.
Participate in analysing, research, drafting regulations, polices, circulars, imposing of appropriate action to ensure areas for improvement and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Identify the impact of introducing policy change, process change, and regulation change at a federal level, state level and free zone level, in order to identify the most effective approach.
Contribute to any regulation amendments in line with the global/federal/state regulation changes.
Monitor the performance of all activities under Registration and Licensing; and prepare periodic reports.
Advise and participate in the benchmarking exercise in establishing a process and penalty matrix for companies in non-compliance in line with the industry standards.
Ascertain opportunities for extending the Authority regulations to other free zones.
