Sr QA/QC Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior QA/QC Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provides Quality Systems support using the Parsons Quality Management System as the basis for process development and optimization, procedure development, data collection and reporting, and Quality Systems training.
• Interfaces at senior and executive levels with regard to Quality process improvement and re-engineering.
• Establishes project/program Quality Systems and audit schedules, conduct audits, and facilitate corrective actions.
• Performs independent audits in various areas and ensure compliance with QA/QC programs.
• Reviews documents, witness audited activities, prepare checklists, perform audits, and prepare final reports.
• Analyzes audit findings to determine program quality and identify trends.
• Promotes a uniform Corrective Action/Preventive Action and Non-conformance tracking program.
• Ensures compliance with Parsons and Client quality requirements.
• Promotes safety awareness and adherence to safety rules.
• Prepares project/program Quality manuals, plans, and procedures.
• Verifies that Parsons and customers quality requirements are in compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements for products and services provided.
• Collaborates in development and maintenance of project/program Quality Procedures and related documents.
• Reviews Quality Manuals, documents, and implementation procedures to verify compliance with industry codes and standards, regulations and regulatory commitments.
• Reviews from a quality perspective (and approves if required) documents prepared by internal or external organizations such as quality manuals and procedures, technical deliverables, test plans and procedures, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
• Collaborates with management for quality activities with internal or external interfaces.
• Performs statistical process control.
• Provides technical guidance to lower-level Quality personnel.
• Handles qualification audits of suppliers of purchased items and services.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business, or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 10+ years of work experience in Quality, or related field

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Certified ISO-9000 Lead Auditor or ability to obtain within 6-months of hire.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or other ASQ Certification (e.g., CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• (Preferred) Membership in a nationally-recognized Quality organization.
• Other related certifications may include, but are not limited to: Building Inspector, NQA-1 (nuclear auditor), NDT (ASNT), Welding Inspector (AWS), DOT.
