Roles & Responsibilities


Role Overview:


As a Research and Development Engineer (Systems Engineering), you will play a key technical role in integrating and validating subsystems across flight controllers, avionics, payloads, and ground control stations. You will collaborate across teams to ensure smooth interaction between software, firmware, and hardware components, contributing both at the desk and in the field during live testing.


Key Responsibilities:


• Support end-to-end system integration of UAV components including flight controllers, telemetry, sensors, payloads, and power systems.

• Work closely with software, firmware, mechanical, and electrical teams to align subsystem performance with system-level requirements.

• Support flight tests, system validation, and troubleshooting in the field.

• Analyze flight logs, telemetry, and sensor data to diagnose issues and improve system behavior.

• Contribute to the development of system architectures, interface definitions, and validation workflows.

• Ensure UAV platforms meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. • Participate in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) tests.

• Support documentation of system configurations, test results, and system behavior analyses.


Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in UAV systems integration or aerospace systems engineering.

• Hands-on experience with PX4 and/or ArduPilot platforms.

• Proven contribution to UAV projects involving aircraft above 20kg MTOW.

• Strong understanding of UAV subsystems and control interfaces (telemetry, power, payloads, GCS).

• Experience with flight log analysis, debugging tools, and telemetry protocols.

• Willingness and ability to support frequent field tests and data collection activities.

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in UAV systems integration or aerospace systems engineering.
