Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • I1. Reading & Interpreting Drawings

    • Understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

    • Identify dimensions, materials, and fabrication requirements

    • Ensure accuracy before starting production

    • 2. Material Preparation

      • Select appropriate steel or aluminium materials

      • Measure, mark, and cut materials using tools like saws, shears, or CNC machines

      • Ensure minimal waste and correct sizing

      • 3. Fabrication & Assembly

        • Cut, bend, shape, and assemble metal components

        • Use processes like welding, bolting, riveting, and grinding

        • Build structures such as frames, doors, windows, railings, cladding, etc.

        • Welding & Joining

          • Perform welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc welding)

          • Ensure strong, clean, and safe joints

          • Inspect weld quality and fix defects

            Installation Work

            • Install fabricated items at construction or project sites

            • Align and fix structures properly

            • Work with contractors and site engineers

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Blueprint Reading – Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts

  2. Measuring & Marking – Accurate use of measuring tools (tape, vernier, square)

  3. Cutting & Shaping – Skilled in using saws, shears, grinders, and CNC machines

  4. Welding Skills – MIG, TIG, and arc welding (especially important for aluminium)

  5. Metal Forming – Bending, rolling, drilling, and punching metal sheets and sections

  6. Assembly Techniques – Bolting, riveting, fastening, and fitting components
