Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the store's inventory, including proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation to minimize spoilage and ensure freshness.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items needing replenishment, proactively communicating needs to the supervisor to avoid shortages.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, processing transactions, handling cash and card payments, and issuing receipts accurately.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling stock discrepancies, and reporting any issues to the store manager.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food items and maintaining a safe working environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and maintain stock levels effectively.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25 lbs).
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
