Your Role and Responsibilities
The Strategic Sales Executive (SSE) is the lead sales person on strategic outsourcing engagements and is responsible for the overall sales effort including leading and coaching the engagement team (i.e. appropriate portfolio specialists, pre-sales, support organizations and channels) to execute a winning strategy towards the client and all relevant stakeholders. Strategic outsourcing engagements are characterized by a complex combination of technical, business, financial, and human resources issues related to the strategic and tactical direction of clients.
SSE will be responsible for the development of long term business relationship with one strategic or several important clients and will assume the ownership for large complex and long sales cycle opportunities which includes negotiating and closing the deal with the client and ensuring smooth transition to delivery and high client satisfaction.
In so doing, SSE must demonstrate a clear understanding of the clients business, organization and culture that will enable him/her to address the client y team leader, an astute busneeds in a way that is valued by the client and superior to the competition. SSE must be an extra ordinariness person, exhibit exceptional business insight, show executive/boardroom presence and outstanding judgment.
This role will focus on devising and articulating a unique and compelling value proposition (which typically requiring multi service-line or cross brand integration), so that client decision-makers clearly grasp the short and long-term business and financial value of a relationship with IBM.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Professional IT services and solutions sales with proven track record of leading and winning mega deals
• Experience in developing and executing a winning sales strategy and proven track record in applying innovative solutions to best support client business processes and objectives
• Long-term Services Sales experience (IT Infrastructure Solutions) with focus on large engagements
• Good communication skills with CxO and client management experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Multinational corporate experience
