Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform pipeline stress and flexibility analysis for onshore oil & gas pipelines and flowlines (buried and above ground) using CAESAR II or equivalent software.
  • Develop and review pipeline stress analysis reports, load case summaries, and stress isometrics.
  • Identify and define support locations, expansion loops, restraints, and anchors to ensure safe and reliable operation of the pipeline system.
  • Ensure designs comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international design codes (ASME B31.4, B31.8, API, ISO, DNV, etc.).
  • Provide stress analysis input to pipeline layout, routing, and material selection.
  • Interface with the piping, civil, process, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure proper integration of design requirements.
  • Review and approve vendor documents related to stress-critical items, supports, and expansion joints.
  • Participate in design review meetings, model reviews, and inter-discipline coordination sessions.
  • Support preparation of pipeline design deliverables including alignment sheets, stress drawings, and pipeline engineering reports.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet project quality and schedule requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in pipeline stress and flexibility analysis within the oil & gas sector.
  • Mandatory ADNOC project experience (minimum one completed FEED or Detailed Design project for ADNOC Onshore or ADNOC Gas).
  • Proven track record in Engineering Phase work FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detail Design (not construction).
  • Proficiency in CAESAR II and related software tools for pipeline stress analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of ASME, API, DNV, and ADNOC Engineering Standards (ADES/AGES).
  • Familiarity with pipeline materials, routing, and support design in onshore environments.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Immediate availability to mobilize to Abu Dhabi.
  • Experience in buried pipeline stress analysis, including soilpipe interaction and expansion loop design.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) tools for local stress checks.
  • Exposure to 3D model review platforms (SmartPlant Review, Navisworks, etc.).
  • Experience with pipeline crossings, tie-ins, and brownfield modifications.
  • Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and review third-party deliverables.
